Keri & George | Wedding Reception | Flagler Beach, FL

.
"With sweet love and devotion deeply touching my emotion
I want to stop and thank you baby; I just want to stop and thank you baby
How sweet it is to be loved by you; How sweet it is to be loved by you."
James Taylor, How Sweet it Is
.
Sometimes, I like being volunteered to do things. (I dislike being harangued into predicaments. That's a different story.) But when someone thinks highly enough of your abilities to even think about telling someone else about your work... it's awesome.
.
Of course, it doesn't reeeeaaallllyyy count when it's your own mom. And aunt. And cousin.
.
So it wound up that I'd photograph my cousin's wedding reception in Florida. Sheeeessshhh. You don't have to ask me. No questions. I'll do it!! Not only do I love working... love my job... love my cousin... love Florida... I also love doing things for people. Perfect opportunity to do all five!
.
Besides, my family is the most wonderful ever. They made it well worth it. Thank you, everyone!! (George, you married into the right family...)
.
Let's get this show on the road!

Keri did all the decorations herself. They were fabulous!!

Keri and George were married in a small, quiet ceremony on October 10 - yep, that's right! 10-10-10! How cool is that? Since only their family members were there for the ceremony, they threw a big "partay" (to use my cousin Kurt's famous word) at their home a few weeks later!

I loved the colors - red and black! How perfect! How awesome! How Keri! Her whole party was SO Keri. And it was great. I'm all about a couple's big day being all about them - and this was Keri and George, all over.
.

Keri & George's adorable puppy, PacMan, was dressed in - get this - a tuxedo. It may sound weird, but it was actually so. cute. I love his faces!!
.

Spoiled? A little...
.
.

Good looks run in the family. Haha!!
.
By the way, those are my good-looking relations - my cousins, Kurt and Keri, my Aunt Judy (doesn't she look like Mom?), and my Uncle Mike.

I did a few portraits with Keri and George during the party - aren't they cute?!

.

This one is preeeeetttttyyy close to my favorite...

But I have to say this is my definite fave!!!
.

.
Keri was so funny about how "un-traditional" her wedding reception was going to be. She said the only two traditional things she was going to do was cut the cake and throw the bouquet.
.
.

Okay, now that I've let you know how un-traditional Keri and George's party was... you're prepared, right? Instead of dancing, their guests played Wii. Even their photographer tried her hand at it!! (sad to say... she wasn't very good.)
.

I'm serious! It was actually really cool - and made for some fun memories!
.

Thanks for the awesome evening Keri and George!! You guys are awesome. =) Your cd is leaving Washington today or tomorrow!!

.
Hugs!
