Chataqua 2009

This past weekend, my family and I had a blast at Chataqua 2009, a combination carnival, craft fair, music festival, and community get-together! We enjoyed a great afternoon and evening of fun, fellowship, rides, and music. (and great photo ops!) Ah, the good ol' days of summer!

Abby loved the motorcycles!

What's a summer carnival without cotton candy?!

Hi Hannah!

I was wondering how you make your lovely watermarks. They are all so beautiful!

I would love to know, as I am trying to finalize my watermark. Thanks so much!

Hey, Hannah T! To make my watermark, I use a font called Windsong (availible from dafont.com). In Picasa, I add text and type the (c) hannah ruth. That's all there is to it!

My old watermark (curly HR) was with a font called A Yummy Apology. Simple type your letters and drag them around to the place you want them. =)

Thank you SO much for that website! I always wondered how to get new fonts.

Thanks again!

One more thing... :)

How did you make the darling heart on Sarah's header?

Thanks!

I love the colors of the first one!

The heart on Sarah's header is a little icon from a font that I installed from Fonts for Peas. Just google that and go to the fonts for peas site. The one I used was called Pea Squeaker. In that font this icon $ is a heart, I think. It's either $ or ^ (hold the shift key for numbers 4 and 6). The % is a star, I think... so there are a few fun shapes to play around with!

P.S. The font is a free download, which is really nice!

Yeah, I am totally jealous of how good you are...lol. Seriously thought these are awesome, especially the swing one. I would love to go to something like that it looks...what's the word? so picturesque. There is a better word but I can't think of it right now. Anyways, ttyl.

BTW, do you Picasa for editing your photos or photoshop?

Thanks so much! I'll try it for sure!
